Summary:

Social Monkee is a social bookmarking service where its primary objective is to bookmark your site or post to build backlinks. Find out more what I think about this service

More Details

In my previous review, I dropped SpinDistribute from my backlinking strategy in my series on how to build a niche site. I decided not to use it anymore simply because most the sites that were distributed don’t even exists and I don’t see any reason for me to continue to use anymore from there.

Last week, I decided to drop another service from my link building strategy and that service is the Social Monkee bookmarking service. Thank god it is a service that allows me to request for money back and I got my money back now.

So, let’s take a tour at this service.

Usability

I would say the service is not really difficult to use. Basically, what you need to do is to identify the post that you want to submit for bookmarking and get the details of the post such as:

  • URL
  • Title
  • Description
  • Tags
  • Category

social monkee submission form

In terms of user-friendly wise, it is quite satisfying. On top of that, if you have SpinRewriter, you can use it to spin your title and descriptions with just a click.

Effectiveness

The effectiveness of this service is the reason behind me dropping Social Monkee off my link building strategy. One advantage of Social Monkee over SpinDistribute is the social bookmarking sites exist, at least most of them.

The main problem which I faced here in this service is the indexing part. If Google does not index those links that are bookmarked, theoretically, I don’t get the backlink yet.

I had submitted over a month and those sites still haven’t index the page which bookmarked my site. I had also done the Mass Ping which is written in their guide but it is still not working.

In the end, I ask for money back.

Price

The price is the reason behind me choosing Social Monkee. I joined Social Monkee about 7-8 months back and that time, the Silver account was free (now is $7.00). I did an upgrade to Premium for $47 but due to the reason that I couldn’t find the effectiveness, I ask for refund.

One thing I need to note here. The refund WORKS although there are some forums that says the Social Monkee support line is not answering any refund inquiries. Based on my experience, I got my money back in 7 days after my first support ticket submission.

Conclusion

I had already asked for refund, so I am not really satisfy with the service. If you are an expert in getting page indexed, you could give a try to Social Monkee but what I am expecting is not so much of work after my submission.

My alternatives now will be to keep using Unique Article Wizard and since it is an expensive service, I am expending to build links directly to my super post. I will keep you updated on my niche site progress.
