Summary:

CommentLuv Premium is one of the best blog commenting WordPress plugin for any blog owner that wants to build a strong relationship with their readers.

More Details

I had been using the free version of CommentLuv on my first blog for about 6 months and once my blog start to generate some income, I invested  into CommentLuv Premium.

The reason I made the upgrade is not because the free version is bad. In fact, I would give a high rating to the free version simply because there isn’t any plugin like CommentLuv in the market.

I will tell you my reasons of upgrading this plugin but before that, allow me to give a quick introduction to those who still do not know what is CommentLuv.

What is CommentLuv?

CommentLuv is a WordPress plugin created by Andy Bailey where after activating the plugin, it will change the comment area of your blog to allow your commentator to share their latest 10 posts as they comment on your post.

CommentLuv Sample

It is that simple and how you can benefit from this simple plugin?

By allowing your reader to share out one of their latest 10 posts, the number of readers that is willing to comment on your blog increased as well where you get a higher chance to engage with them from here.

As a result, your blog will get more comments than before.

What I had mentioned is the benefit of the free version of CommentLuv. For the CommentLuv Premium version, you will get even more on top of the benefit from free version.

One of the key benefit is the combination of multiple plugins into one which will speed up your site loading speed because you will have less plugin to load. The plugins which combined into the CommentLuv Premium are:

  • Twitterlink – Allows your reader to include TwitterID upon commenting.
  • G.A.S.P. – Anti-spam plugin.
  • KeywordLuv – Allow your reader to use their real name and keywords while commenting.
  • Top Commentator – A widget that display the top commentator on your blog.
  • Dofollow – A plugin which removes the “nofollow” attribute at the comment area.

What I really like about CommentLuv Premium

I’m not going to talk about the features here because you can read this from the CommentLuv official site. What I want to talk is the things that I benefit from this plugin and there are two things that I want to say here.

First and foremost is I get to set the default number of post to only one and allow 10 posts to choose to the ones that share out my post to the social media.

CommentLuv Premium in action

By doing so, my commentators will benefit for dofollow link from my site and at the same time, my article gets to be exposed to the social media.

The second thing which I like here is pretty much like the first, but the difference is the control of dofollow link. This means that I can control who I should give a dofollow link while who I should still remain as nofollow.

Andy Bailey has made the configuration extremely easy to use here where below is a quick snapshot of it.

CommentLuv Premium configuration

Who should own this plugin?

I personally feel that every blogger who is building a blog today needs to have this plugin if you want your readers to engage with you as early as possible.

You can stick with the free version anyway but I believe that sooner or later, you are going to switch over to the premium edition so why not now? Unless you have a blog that doesn’t allow comments, then this plugin is totally useless to you.

As a final say to this post, I rate the CommentLuv Premium plugin a maximum of 5 stars out of 5 stars and highly recommend you to get this plugin now.

    Great review!
The premium version seems to be effective, so I think it worth investing in it. The configuration seems to be user friendly, so anyone can make it. That’s what I like paying for, when something works easily. There are lots of possibilities in the CommentLuv Premium.

      Thanks for commenting Scottsdale.

So far, the configuration can’t be any simpler. Probably their next enhancement that they can still further enhance is to move their configuration to the cloud. 😉

Having the flexibility with who you want to give dofollow links to is a great option to have with Comment Luv. Thanks for posting this. I am debating about whether or not to purchase the Premium version.

i’m tempted with using commentluv Premium for my site, its just the price that puts me off. The main advantage to me is it will cut down the amount of spam i receive.

Hi Dinesh, I’m not too sure on Blogspot. Probably you could start from migrating to local hosting first.

I submit my blog to Technorati to build some links around my articles. Technorati is an authority site & if your blogs rank higher in their list of blogs, you also get a good amount of referral traffic.

CommentLuv is like it adds a 5 star to your blog value. I think if one is working with WordPress it must have this plugin.

I personally just started to use CommentLuv. I find it to be a very cool program but really hard to find other niche companies that we should use to backlink our site. Any ideas on how to do that more easily? Cheers!

I think most companies don’t use Commentluv. It is just bloggers that are using it and I do see as well that less blogs are using Commentluv these days.
